I stayed at the Cumberland Guesthouse in September and had a really great experience. The place had a very homey feel — super clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is fantastic — it is just a block from the main street and three blocks from the trailhead, which was perfect for getting out and exploring. The kitchen was well equipped with everything I needed, which made it easy to cook a few meals and feel right at home. Overall, it was a peaceful and convenient spot — I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Cumberland.
Our family of three stayed a few days in late June. The suite was perfect for us and would easily accommodate a few more people. It was so nice to have all the amenities provided--towels for a dip in the lake, washer / dryer for our biking clothes, bike storage and wash, games, comfy couches, and A/C to beat the heat. We'll be back!
My friend and I stayed here during the 2022 heatwave and were very appreciative of the air conditioning. The suite is very comfortable, spacious, clean, generously equipped - quite luxurious really, and perfectly located - just steps to restaurants and shopping, as well as a short drive to Courtney and Comox. It's evident that the hosts take great care and pride in maintaining this property and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Cumberland Guesthouse.
We had a fantastic stay at the Cumberland Guesthouse. It is in a perfect location - walking distance to great restaurants and pubs and a few blocks away from the start of the mountain biking trails. The suite was totally well equipped, comfortable, clean, and we felt like our gear was very secure in the shipping container. I highly recommend this place, we will certainly be back!
We rented this suite for a whole summer and it was fantastic! The location within Cumberland is perfect -- everything is a short walk away and the community forest is within site. The suite is in excellent condition, great light, windows everywhere. The outdoor space is great too with seating on the upper level as well as down around the communal BBQ. The bike storage is really handy, along with the bike wash. Sabrina & Mario are awesome hosts/landlords/people: very accommodating & attentive to our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here, either for a vacation or for longer term. Especially if you like to mountain bike!

Hello and Welcome! We are excited to be part of this community and help people feel right at home. Sabrina grew up in Cumberland and the Comox Valley and Mario grew up in the Kootenays. They met in Victoria and decided to buy their first home and move to Cumberland in 2010. Sabrina is a special education teacher and Mario is a cabinetmaker and works for the United Riders of Cumberland (UROC) as one of the Trail Maintenance Crew. We both enjoy the outdoors and live an active lifestyle. We feel that Cumberland is a fantastic place to visit and play and are excited for you to enjoy some time here. We also enjoy renovating homes, meeting new people, and traveling so owning and running a Guesthouse felt like a perfect fit. We hope to provide our guests with the best experience possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach our before or after booking with us, we are happy to answer any of your questions. We would love to welcome you to our Guesthouse!
